In today’s Testimony Tuesdays feature, I share how I boldly declared the Word and received a double portion.

Recently, I underwent a medical procedure. I was required to pay the full cost up front and then make a claim on my health insurance. That depleted my account, and so I quickly submitted the claim form in order to receive funds to make an important transaction.

As I was completing the claim form, the question about ‘other insurance coverage’ jogged my memory. For about a year now, I had signed up for another health insurance scheme which was open to credit card holders of a particular bank. For some strange reason, I kept forgetting about that other insurance when making claims (and there have been a few), or for other health related purposes.

So, grateful for the reminder, I included the policy details in the current claim.

A little over a week later, I checked my bank account, hoping that the funds would be available. Unfortunately, that was not the case, even after checking several times.

Then, the Spirit prompted me to check my other bank account from which I made my credit card payment. I didn’t obey at first, but after a second prompt, I did. To my surprise, the funds had been deposited there.  I was surprised but grateful, so I made the transfer to my other bank account so that I could finally make the transaction.

I was still a bit unsure as I had not been expecting payment to that account. I reached out to the bank, but the representative wasn’t able to say why.

Two days later, I viewed a reel on YouTube which focused on Isaiah 61: 7, which says:

Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.

I declared boldly that I claimed the word and would receive a double portion.

Next morning, I accessed my online account to transfer some funds, and lo and behold….another payment. A double portion. Hallelujah! Jehovah Jireh, my provider, had provided in ways I never imagined.
