My first university experience was at the University of the West Indies, (UWI), Mona, Jamaica, where I completed my Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English, and a Master of Arts (MA) in Communications Studies, for which I was unable to obtain employment as I was constantly told that I had no experience in the field. I had worked as Librarian for many years, without formal training, so I eventually decided to pursue the Masters in Library and Information Studies (MLIS) in 2010.

My other experiences at the university level include obtaining a Certificate in Information Technology from the University of Technology (Formerly CAST), as well Certificates in Public Relations and Principles and Techniques of Counselling from UWI School of Continuing Studies.
