About Lona
Lona is a devout Christian who is passionate about the things of God and serving others. Her purpose is to encourage and edify others. Lona is a published author of two books, Memorial Stones: Testimonies of God’s Faithfulness and Provision in Times of Need, Volumes 1 & 2. She also operates the Faith and Life Blog through which she shares devotionals and other inspirational articles which encourage and uplift others.
A native of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, she now resides in Kingston where she worships at Fellowship Tabernacle. She serves in the Greeters Ministry and is a cluster Leader in the church’s South Community. She is also the Public Relations Officer for the Strata Association of her home community in Kingston.
She is currently employed as a Legislative Editor at the Ministry of Legal and Constitutional Affairs. She was previously employed to the Jamaica Library Service, the Jamaica Information Service and the Attorney General’s Chambers.
Lona is a past student of the Aberdeen All Age School and the Hampton School for Girls in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica and the University of the West Indies, Mona, in Kingston, Jamaica.
Her future plans include writing more books, ministering to women and girls, and working with a charitable organization.
She enjoys reading, writing, listening to music and watching sports in her spare time. Lona is a music lover at heart and plans to resume keyboard lessons in the near future.
