This was not an it, but our family pet dogs, Marshall and Hitler. I loved them dearly but they both died. I cannot recall the exact details, but one was hit by a vehicle. They used to love to run out at vehicles driving by and sadly, Marshall lost his life that way. I recall we had a funeral service for him. I was sad for a long time after that. The memories of them  are still in my heart.
