Monday Motivation – The Joy of the Lord

This morning as I did my morning walk, my heart was filled with joy as I admired the beauty of nature, God’s remarkeable handiwork. Indeed, the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth his handiwork, as  expressed in Psalm 19:1.

As I further pondered on this joy, another scripture came to mind. Proverbs 17:22  says, A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit, dries up the bones.

The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). It is a joy which the world did not give us, and cannot take away from us.

How do we cultivate joy?

For starters,  one sure way is to have an attitude of gratitude. You attitude determines your altitude, and so giving thanks in everything brings joy and peace to our hearts, which is a delight to God. He instructs in His Word to give thanks in everything, because that is His will for us (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

How will you cultivate joy today? Let’s talk. Leave a comment.

I wish you a joyful day filled with the peace and joy of the Lord.

Enjoy this song below.

Shalom.
