Salvation Saturday – The ABC of Salvation

The Call to Repentance
Contrary to what some people think, the way to salvation is not difficult. Don’t overthink it. It’s as easy as 1,2,3; as easy as ABC. If God has placed a conviction in your heart, it is time to surrender to the call. The Scripture (John 6:44) says that no man comes to God unless he is drawn by the Spirit of God. God is always speaking, always calling men into a relationship with him, because it is not His will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). God’s stance with regard to us has not changed. He remains the same yesterday, today and forever. (Heb 13:8)

Obey the Call of God
God is speaking and calling, but are you listening? Are you willing to heed the call to salvation? In Hebrews 3:15, it is stated that if you hear His voice, you should not harden your heart. Yield to His voice, repent and allow Him to be your Lord and Saviour. Did I say it was as easy as ABC? Yes, it is. Here’s how:
A – Admit that you are a sinner – All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God – (Romas 3:23)
B – Believe that He died for your sins – (John 3:16)
C – Confess with your mouth that He is Lord – (Romans 10: 9-10)
Next Steps
After following the steps above, talk to God, asking Him to save you. Having done so, it’s time to find a Bibe believing church home where you can fellowship with other believers. As a newborn believer, you will need spiritual guidance in order to grow and develop to a state of spiritual maturity. This involves reading, meditating and studying the Word, and sharing your faith with others, which requires discipline and dedication.
